Anusara Yoga® Immersions

The Anusara yoga Immersion is open to ALL students and teachers of yoga and is a complete overview of the philosophy, history and practices of Anusara yoga.  It is a 100 hour program which is split into 3 one week sections.  These sections may be taken one at a time or consecutively.

The Immersion is a required course for all students who wish to go on to teacher training.

These courses not only offer an opportunity to deepen your physical practice, but also how to use the physical practice to heal and transform your life.

This course fulfills 100 hours for Yoga Alliance.

Anusara Yoga Teacher Training

July 27- August 14 ~ Monday- Friday (hours to be announced)

After completing the full Immersion students are eligible to sign up for the Teacher Training.  In this course we will uncover the method of teaching Anusara including but not limited to taking the seat of the teacher, creating class themes, creating a sequence, pacing and public speaking, anatomy and therapeutics and applying verbal and physical adjustments.  This course will include many hours of actual practice and observation and prepare the student to fully take the seat of the teacher upon completion of the course.

Located at the Lakshmi Institute, nestled in the lush hills of the finger lakes region in the village of Trumansburg, NY.   We are just up the road from the village center which has a coffee shop, several restaurants, gift shops, and a used book store.  We are 10 miles North of Ithaca.

Accommodations: If you are coming from out of town, there are several bed and breakfasts in the village of Trumansburg and we can also provide a list of local residents who have rooms for rent in their homes. Ithaca is also only a 15 minute drive from Trumansburg, and there are many hotels to choose from.  We are also only several miles from the national forest where there is ample camping.

Cost:

  • Teacher Training: $1500 (with a $500 deposit by June 1); $1600 after
  • Immersions: $600 per Immersion or $1600 for all 3
  • Immersion + Teacher training $3000 is paid in full by July 27
